The North East Hampshire Area Schools Percussion Ensemble is a percussion ensemble open to children attending school or living in the north east of the county, and is run by Matthew Johns.

It's current members come from Fleet, Farnborough, Aldershot, Yateley and the surrounding areas.

The aim of the ensemble is to give young percussion players the experience of playing with others, working as a team, and to develop their technical and musical abilities.

Playing in the ensemble can also help to develop the skills that are necessary for playing in other ensembles such as orchestras, wind bands, and brass bands etc, and many of the percussion ensemble members also play in other groups either in school, or in one of a number of area and county ensembles run by Hampshire Music Service.

Entry into the percussion ensemble is by audition. Any pupils attending school or living in the north east of the county, who are having percussion lessons may audition.

If you would like to join the percussion ensemble, book us for a concert, or sponsor us, please contact:
